Lauren Arnold, M.A., LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns. She has specialized training and clinical experience in the treatment of complex trauma (C-PTSD/PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety and panic disorders, mood and personality disorders, sexual abuse, behavioral challenges, and neurodivergence.

Lauren earned her Bachelor's degree in Counseling Psychology before completing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Lauren is Level IV trained in Lifespan Integration and is currently working toward certification. Lifespan Integration is a neuroscience-informed psychotherapy that facilitates the integration of unresolved experiences by helping the nervous system recognize that traumatic experiences have ended, allowing for greater emotional regulation and reduced reliance on survival-based patterns of functioning.

Lauren's therapeutic orientation is primarily existential and trauma-informed. She emphasizes clinical attunement and believes effective therapy begins with understanding each client's unique experiences, strengths, and patterns of adaptation. Rather than viewing symptoms in isolation, she conceptualizes emotional and behavioral difficulties within the broader context of development, attachment, relationships, and lived experience. Treatment is individualized and integrates Lifespan Integration, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote symptom reduction, increased self-understanding, and long-term psychological integration.

Prior to becoming a counselor, Lauren spent more than a decade in healthcare, including five years in adult medicine and five years in pediatrics at Children's of Alabama. She also has experience providing treatment in residential settings with individuals presenting with complex trauma, emotional dysregulation, and significant behavioral needs. Her diverse clinical background informs a holistic understanding of the interaction between biological, psychological, relational, and environmental factors in mental health.

Lauren is committed to providing a collaborative, evidence-based therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, challenged, and supported throughout the healing process. Her goal is to help clients gain insight into the factors contributing to their current difficulties, process unresolved experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop the capacity to live more authentically and intentionally.
